Welcome back to Know Your Lore, WoW.com’s column about the story behind the game we all play. A featured questline in Patch 3.3 , the story of Quel’delar is available to any player who attains the Battered Hilt , which can drop from any mob in the Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons. But what’s the story behind this ancient and powerful weapon? Long ago, the night elves and the five Dragonflights worked together with great ceremony to forge a set of incredibly powerful prismatic swords, intended to be the first line of defense against any evil that would challenge the races of Azeroth: Quel’serrar , the High Blade, and Quel’delar , the Sister Blade. Quel’serrar was gifted to the night elves, but ultimately nearly destroyed. For thousands of years it remained partially intact with the Shen’dralar of Eldre’thalas, who anticipated that one day it’d be possible to reforge the blade. Only recently did this occur, with heroes reforging the blade in the flames and black heart of Onyxia, broodmother of the Black Dragonflight. The blade’s triumphant return to its full glory brought great joy to the night elves, who thought the blade lost forever. Its sister blade, however, followed a different path. This writeup contains spoilers from the Quel’delar questline and should be avoided if you want to be surprised when Patch 3.3 launches. Patch 3.3 PTR: Epic ammo

Found this article when I was searching the internet
warcraft millionaire

Here’s some good news for hunters in the next patch that I don’t think we’ve covered on its own yet. Huntsman’s Lodge points out that there are two new types of craftable epic ammo on the PTR for us to load up. Iceblade Arrows and Shatter Rounds are both learned by engineers who rep up with the Ashen Verdict , the new faction to go along with the assault on Icecrown. Both add a whopping 91.5 damage to ranged weapon DPS, and of course they’re BoE, so all you’ll need is an engineer buddy honored with the new guys. One catch: arrows require Gnomish engineering, and the bullets require Goblin engineering. Interesting choice by Blizzard, but it shouldn’t be too big a problem, especially since mats are pretty cheap anyway (two Crystallized Shadow for the arrows and two Crystallized Earth for the bullets). Sounds good to me. Still no sign of those great ammo plans we heard about way back when, but more damage (especially some so relatively easy to get) is never a bad thing. Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of Wrath of the Lich King . With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to Arthas. WoW.com’s Guide to Patch 3.3 will keep you updated with all the latest patch news. The Queue: It is a mystery

Gold Secrets

Click here to learn the secrets of making gold in WoW

Welcome back to The Queue , WoW.com’s daily Q&A column where the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today. The Queue is a bit short today, and rather than giving you reasons why, I’m going to leave it up to you guys to create wild and zany reasons for it. Was Alex writing The Queue while on fire and ran out of burnable flesh? Was Alex hard at work, but was suddenly interrupted by the president recruiting him for a top secret mission to Mars? Was he watching cartoons while writing, and the cartoons came to life and pulled him into the internet? It’s up to you to decide! Tanglebones asked… “I’ve read that in 3.3 Blizz is making it possible to track uncompleted quests (for Loremaster) via addons. So my question is, are there any addons in the works that do this? Can you highlight it/them sometime before 3.3 goes live?” Continue reading The Queue: It is a mystery Filed under: Shaman , Analysis / Opinion , The Queue , Cataclysm The Queue: It is a mystery originally appeared on WoW.com on Thu, 19 Nov 2009 16:00:00 EST. Check out this really cool article all about Patch 3.3 PTR: Armored Frost Wyrm mounts are rewards from Icecrown
Joana's Horde Leveling Guide

Ancilorn over at the European forums has confirmed that the armored Frost Wrym mounts mined from early builds of the Patch 3.3 PTR will be rewards for achievements in the Icecrown Citadel raid. Much like past raid dungeons have awarded mounts for completing meta-achievements, such as the Ironbound Proto-Drake for Ulduar, the Frost Wyrms will be “up for grabs,” for dedicated raiders. MMO-Champion previously unearthed this armored Frost Wyrm model along with spells named Frostbrood Vanquisher and Frostbrood Vanquisher Flight, which could give some insight into some Icecrown Citadel encounters. Despite the confirmation of new reward mounts (expected to grant 310% flying speed, as well), there is currently no word on the removal of the Ulduar reward mounts, which Blizzard has said to stay for “the foreseeable future” .
