Here is a great article all about Potential character model revisions in Cataclysm

WoW ’s fifth anniversary and the interviews surrounding it have ended up providing us with some previously-unknown tidbits of information — which is a good thing, especially when it comes to stuff we’ve been wanting to hear about for a long time. This particular tidbit comes from the Warcry network interview with J. Allen Brack and Samwise Didier about the game’s anniversary, and it’s about a subject near and dear to our constantly-complaining hearts: new character models. They might even be coming in Cataclysm . Says Brack: “Even though things would be better with new (character) models, we’d probably spark a lot of player outrage. So we’ve talked about giving players a choice between the classic models or the new ones, but it might not be something we want to take on at the same time as we remake Azeroth.” That’s pretty big news. Hey guys heres a great article all about IgroMir 2009: Goblin gameplay footage

More Cataclysm footage is trickling onto the internet from IgroMir 2009 , Russia’s huge gaming convention, and there was a beautifully clear (well, compared to what we usually see) video of early Goblin gameplay that merited some attention here. I have to confess; I wasn’t initially enthusiastic about Blizzard’s choice for a new Horde race, even if Goblins do make sense from a lore perspective . But after trawling through so many videos of their early questing experience in the Lost Isles , I’m sold. Female Goblins still aren’t playable yet, but their male counterparts have some awesome casting animations and an incredibly endearing sort of waddly run. They just look so interesting and dynamic doing anything that now I’m torn over which class to roll, although I can’t really take their 2H special attack seriously, so it’ll probably be a caster-class of some sort. I enjoyed Necrolord_Bob’s answer to our poll on which Goblin class to roll: “Priest! Priest of the Holy Temple of BOOM!” We didn’t think that Blizzard would tolerate any Cataclysm footage floating around YouTube for long, but it looks like the earlier Worgen video we posted is still up . That said, don’t bank on these (or the related videos) being around for long. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will destroy Azeroth as we know it. Nothing will be the same. In WoW.com’s Guide to Cataclysm you can find out everything you need to know about WoW’s third expansion. I touched on Blizzard’s presence at IgroMir 2009, sort of the Russian E3, a bit previously, specifically about J. Allen Brack’s panel regarding guild progression and leveling in Cataclysm . Of course, I had to Google-translate the panel from Russian ( nyet , I do not know Russian, comrades), and not everything Blizzard-related from the whole convention was in the recaps I read. Thankfully, Blizzard themselves have released their own recaps of the Cataclysm panel. In his talk, Brack discussed rated battlegrounds, Tol Barad (briefly), and guild progression. It turns out that I was pretty thorough in the guild leveling post, but here’s the stuff I didn’t cover: Rated Battlegrounds will be an alternative way to gain Arena points for those who prefer large-scale PVP. Your personal rating gain for a win will vary depending on the specific Battleground. There’ll be featured Battlegrounds each week with bonus rating gain for wins. You will not lose points or rating for a Battleground loss. Arena points can be used to purchase pets, mounts, vanity items, and perhaps best of all, the old honor system PVP titles like Grand Marshal. Tol Barad will provide bonus daily quests and instances for the faction that wins the battle for the zone, somewhat like, as Brack put it, a cross between the Isle of Quel’Danas and Lake Wintergrasp. You can check out our previous IgroMir post here , or read Blizzard’s official recap on their IgroMir site. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will destroy Azeroth as we know it. Nothing will be the same. Here is a great article all about Cataclysm: "Almost all items are going to have to change."

So, wait a minute. If Strength on leather gear is going away in Cataclysm , how are feral druid tanks going to be itemized? Ghostcrawler’s got it handled . We talked about druids in bear form also getting AP from strength. Strength won’t appear on leather and no piece should have Str and Agi together, so it’s not like they would really double dip. That lets us still have tanking necks, rings and cloaks with strength on them that are attractive to all 4 tanking classes. Ghostcrawler, you machine , you. First you tell us that all of these stats are just plain goin’ away in Cataclysm, and now you give us specifics? Such an industrious crab. But how is this change going to be carried out? Turns out he’s got something to say about that, too. Here is a great article all about Breakfast Topic: What class is your goblin going to be?
Want to learn how to level incredible fast? Click here
Yesterday’s Breakfast Topic asked about the new Alliance race , but today we’re here to ask about the prodigal Hordies, Cataclysm’ s newest Horde race, the goblins. The announcement of the race was a bit of a surprise, but one that made a lot of sense upon further examination. I wasn’t at all excited for goblins at first, but the more I look at ‘em, the more I kinda like ‘em — especially all of the cute hairstyles that the women get. So, I know that I’ll be rolling at least one goblin. I’m thinking a warlock and … I have no idea. I’m running out of classes I don’t already have an 80 of. But it might be fun to faction change one of my existing 80s to a goblin too. They’d be my first high-level Horde character! I never fell prey to infectious rerollbelfatosis. So what about you guys? Excited to blaze new trails and be Kalimdor pioneers with your little green man (or woman)? What are you going to roll? Does your goblin have a backstory you’re building?
