Here is a great article all about World of Warcraft and Battle Chest on sale for Black Friday

Yes indeed, this Friday is none other than Black Friday , which means the deals will be aplenty, the crowds will be horrendous, and the holiday money drain will begin (of course, you could go with Buy Nothing Day , but that seems a little too grinchy to me — why not go ahead and buy while the buying’s good?). Fortunately, there are a few WoW deals floating around out there, in case you need to pick up a copy of the game for a loved one (or that Recruit-a-friend account you’ve been planning to make). The regular WoW vanilla game (useful for leveling to 60, but if you want to go past that, you’ll have to buy the expansions) is on sale in a few places for super cheap — the Ladies of Leet saw it at Best Buy for just five bucks , and Gamestop’s matching that price . Gamestop also will have the Battle Chest ( with WoW and BC and a few other goodies) for $19.99 , and Newegg has the same price if you don’t want to fight the crowds. Unfortunately, there’s no sign of Wrath on sale — you’ll still have to pony up the $40 if that’s the one you want. But stay tuned in the comments — if readers can find better prices on this stuff, we’re sure you’ll see them below. Good luck out there, happy deal finding. I love FigurePrints and this has been widely documented . I stare at my FigurePrint of Turpster a hundred times a day. A model? Not just a model, but a FigurePrint . Handmade in Italy, they carve it out of illegal whalebone . They only make eleven of them a year. This one cost me $12,000 or 30 million liras. Perfectly balanced, low drag, minimal torque. (Please note: FigurePrints aren’t constructed from illegal whalebone, nor do they cost $12,000 (only $129.95/€99.95) but Turpster’s been watching far too many Will Farrell films lately.) No exaggeration, I could not love a human baby as much as I love my miniature real life version of my favorite fantasy Warcraft character. The folks over at FigurePrints and FigurePets are introducing some great new products and features to coincide with WoW ’s 5th Anniversary. You’ll find all of the new features now available on their site after the break. They include: Continue reading FigurePets mark WoW’s 5th Birthday Spyro style Filed under: Odds and ends , Hardware FigurePets mark WoW’s 5th Birthday Spyro style originally appeared on WoW.com on Wed, 25 Nov 2009 18:00:00 EST. After trying to entrap her Thanksgiving dinner with a cleaver, a polearm, a guildmate’s Fireball spell, a carefully constructed gnomish engineering device, and an errant feral druid in cat form, Nayuki of Demon Soul finally had to admit defeat. The turkey was simply smarter than she was. Her only hope for a decent holiday meal was to wait until the turkey’s back was turned, and then blindly stab away with her knife. Surely that would work. Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We’d love to see them on Around Azeroth ! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next! Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word “Azeroth” in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing — use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val’kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here . There are more server outages hitting this afternoon, unfortunately impacting the same realms that were down for around ten hours last night . The Seattle datacenter was hit with a nasty power outage yesterday, but we currently don’t know the reasons for the current downtime. There are no blue responses yet, but my gut says there’s some lingering damage that will need to be dealt with this afternoon. Then again, we might be lucky and they’ll be back in ten minutes. Who knows with these things? Keep an eye on WoW.com and we’ll keep you posted should we hear anything. If you’re not sure if you’re part of one of these battlegroups, the full list is behind the cut. Update #1: Blizzard is aware of the issue . Not much else at the moment. Update #2: Looks like most servers are coming up. Our poor friends on Quel’Dorei are still down for the count. Update #3: Maintenance on these realms not necessarily ‘done’ says Malkorix . Update 11:57pm: Both battlegroups went down 12 minutes ago. More as we know it. Update 12:18am: Blizzard says they are working on it and that any compensation will come after the problems have been resolved. When Emberstorm and Whirlwind battlegroups went down due to a massive power outage and nastiness resulting from it, we invited displaced players to join us in our It came from the Blog guild on Zangarmarsh. And they did. For the most part, it was a guildchat party, but many of us gathered for a picture outside of Silvermoon to commemorate the occasion. I also offered ports to Shattrath so people could set their hearthstones. I’m not used to giving ports, however, so I accidentally ported just myself on one occasion. Oops. Joining us for the party were Adam Holisky , Michael Sacco , Matt Low and Kelly Aarons . We all had a great time hanging out together and getting some cooking done. Just because we had this impromptu get together doesn’t mean we’re still not going to Party like Pilgrims on Wednesday night , however. Everyone is invited, so come join us at 11pm EST on Zangarmarsh, Wednesday night for some Pilgrim’s Bounty fun.
