Hey guys heres a great article all about Patch 3.3 PTR: Shaman Tier 10

Just off the official preview page from Blizzard comes the Shaman tier 10 armor set, which will be released in patch 3.3 . And we all haven’t been waiting for this set long enough, have we? The Shaman tier 10 set is called the Frost Witch, and this definitely fits with that motif. After looking closely at the image, Sacco and I think the horns of ice on the head and shoulders do not appeared to be textured, so that’s something we have to look forward to being completed in the future. The shoulders also feature what appears to be a two ghost-animals jutting out of them, very likely a periodic effect that we’ve previously seen in the BC warlock set. Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of Wrath of the Lich King . With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to the Arthas. WoW.com’s Guide to Patch 3.3 will keep you updated with all the latest patch news. One of the hottest topics in the past week was Blizzard’s foray into the microtransactions game. By announcing the Blizzard pet store, World of Warcraft had officially come on par with other MMOs and online games that sold in-game items for real world money. Our informal survey showed that views on the move were officially split… a good third of our readers would buy the pet, another third didn’t plan to, while another full third thought that our world was coming to an end. Well, the World of Warcraft , at least. At any rate, it looks like the Pet Store is here to stay. Besides, Blizzard has already been hawking in-game services for real money, so it’s not as if these vanity pets are any different. I personally don’t find anything wrong with these pets, and seeing the number of diminutive liches and kung fu pandas showing up all over Azeroth, it really seems like a lot of other people don’t, either. Blizzard states that these items, similar to the TCG loot cards, are “purely cosmetic and just for fun.” They say that they’d be loathe to introduce things that are “detrimental to the game and (detracts) from the gameplay experience for players who choose not to use the service.” So that probably means no epic weapons or anything of the sort. How far does that go, though? Are heirloom items considered detrimental to the game? How about buying levels? Premades? I personally wouldn’t mind paying a fair price to skip the painful leveling process (an attitude that might admittedly change during the Cataclysm ). What’s do you think is next for Blizzard? Armor dyes, perhaps? Vanity outfits such as the complete Brewfest set or gag items such as those found on the TCG? Titles? Now that the microtransactions gate has been opened, how far do you think Blizzard will go? Welcome back to The Queue , WoW.com’s (almost) daily Q&A column where the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today. I’m taking a break from piecing together the video from WoW.com’s recent run of the Forge of Souls to whip up a brand new edition of The Queue for you guys to read this afternoon. I went to Twitter for most of today’s questions, so don’t be surprised if they’re pretty short! AngerFork asked… “Theory time: Since Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep are coming back as Heroics, do you think any other dungeons will come back as Heroics? If so, which?” Continue reading The Queue: Can’t get enough pony Filed under: Analysis / Opinion , The Queue , Cataclysm The Queue: Can’t get enough pony originally appeared on WoW.com on Fri, 09 Oct 2009 19:00:00 EST. Hey guys heres a great article all about Patch 3.3 PTR: Blizzard tweaking nameplate visibility

Click here to learn the secrets of making gold in WoW
Zarhym has posted information about an interesting change in effect on the PTR right now. Blizzard is tweaking the way that character nameplates (those names that you see floating above everyone’s heads) works. First, nameplate vision has been extended, so that you can see player names from farther away. They’ve also adjusted some line-of-sight issues, and players will no longer be able to see nameplates through anything that blocks line-of-sight (so no nameplates of players hiding behind doors or walls). And multiple nameplates in one space will now overlap — we’ll have to see exactly what this looks like on the PTRs, but it sounds like a big group of the same mobs (i.e. Onyxia whelps) will now just have one nameplate to share. Interesting stuff (and I didn’t realize that some of this stuff, especially the nameplate overlapping, was even possible). Zarhym has a few other notes in the thread about how you can change or update the options on the PTR, including a checkbox to turn on or off totem or pet nameplates. Elsewhere, Ghostcrawler says that it’s not just line-of-sight , as Arena pillars and other “objects” won’t affect the nameplate view, but doors and walls will. If you’re on the PTR, keep an eye out for these changes, and note that Blizzard is still asking for feedback. It’s unknown which of these changes (or others) will end up on the live realms in the future. Hey guys heres a great article all about Garrosh, a raid boss?
Click here to learn how to level fast
I don’t necessarily agree with everything we highlight here on WoW.com, but just because a post seems wrong doesn’t mean it isn’t interesting to talk about. Such is the case with Loregy’s latest post — they suggest that after all is said and done, the much beloved ( whoops, not ) Garrosh Hellscream will end up at the wrong end of our weapons. They say that the big fight between Garrosh and Thrall (rudely interrupted by the Wrath of the Lich King ) means that Garrosh is in for a whooping at some future point. Matt basically said as much in his post a while back — Garrosh is a flawed hero, to say the least, and it’s likely that sometime here, those flaws are going to catch up with him, possibly in the form of us players. Now of course whether that’s true or not is an entirely different question from whether that’s what you want or not. Kisirani has already said that there are sides of Garrosh we haven’t seen yet , and Blizzard could go either way with him — either put him through some troubles and teach him to learn some lessons (right now the guy is pretty dumb ), or do what Loregy is suggesting and turn him into a raid boss (wouldn’t be the first faction leader with such a fate, to be honest). Personally, I think Garrosh is headed for a little redemption — all he really needs, to my mind, is a little experience and humility, and, as I understand it, war can teach those pretty well.
