I’m kind of surprised we’ve never done this one on PLP (in fact, I think we may have, though I couldn’t find it in the archives at all, and it just changed recently anyway). But just in case you don’t want to spend $10 of real money on an epic in-game pet , you can try to get this one anyway. Name: Parrot Cage (Hyacinth Macaw) ( Wowhead , Thottbot , WarcraftPets ) Type: Epic (yes, Epic) Noncombat Pet Damage/Speed: N/A Attributes: Allows you to summon the Hyacinth Macaw companion pet, one of the most beautiful “parrot style” pets in the game. For the past day WoW.com has been hard at work getting the story straight on the discrepancies between what the Las Vegas Convention Center was saying about BlizzCon 2010 , and what Blizzard was saying. Until recently, the LVCC had been telling us, and others, who inquired that BlizzCon 2010 was being held there July 30th and 31st. Blizzard was, more or less, denying it. Given both organizations are quite large and reputable, this was quite a confusing situation. However as of this afternoon, the Las Vegas Convention Center emailed us to let us know that due to their human error, the confirmation they were giving was false. According to the LVCC, Blizzard and the LVCC had spoken once about having BlizzCon 2010 in Las Vegas, and a hold was placed on those dates as a marketing tactic to entice Blizzard to the area. However, that hold was inadvertently turned into a confirmed booking, leading to the inaccurate confirmations and resulting issues. The LVCC has apologized for the confusion, and thus ends the saga of BlizzCon in Las Vegas. A new PTR for patch 3.3 has just been pushed through on the testing servers. Most of the classes have seen some tweaks and changes. At first glance, the biggest winners (not whiners) appear to be mages and shadow priests. Some other big changes include the druid spell Rebirth dropping from a 20 minutes cool down to a 10 minute cool down. Oh and raid leaders, it seems anyone in the party can use raid marks now. Joy! Also, new Achievements have surfaced for Icecrown dungeons. Find out what other adjustments were made after the jump. Here is a great article all about Deathwing sculpture in progress
Click here to view the ultimate Leveling Guide
Ever since Blizzard first revealed Deathwing to us back at BlizzCon, that image of the dragon and that jaw has stuck in my head — dragons are always dangerous (you know what happens when you meddle in their affairs), but Deathwing is a dragon in his own class. And apparently that picture also stuck in artist Kymba’s head, too, because she’s been working on (and documenting on Livejournal) an awesome sculpture of the beast himself . Obviously it’s a work in progress, but Kymba has been doing a really thorough job covering just what she’s doing with Sculpey (a brand of polymer clay). You can follow her own accounts on her Livejournal page ( start over here ), or check out the gallery below, in which we’ve compiled all of the pictures of the process so far. The jaw was made separately, and from what I can tell (I’ve never sculpted in my life), she used aluminum foil baked into the clay wrapped around a sturdier core. The whole thing looks great so far — we can’t wait to see what the finished product looks like. Stay tuned — you’ll probably see it all done in a future World of Warcrafts post .
