Reach Level 80 in No Time with this WoW Mage Leveling Spec

The key to a good Wow Mage Leveling Spec is to have good damage dealing ability while also being able to attack often. Ideally, there would be very little down time between battles. If the down time is too much it either means the WoW Mage build is causing the player to take damage or the spells are not doing enough damage for the amount of mana they are costing.

For any WoW Mage Leveling spec, you must be familiar with the three trees of spells available to a mage in World of Warcraft. The first tree of spells is the fire tree. These spells focus on doing damage with fire based attacks. The second tree of mage spells is the frost tree. While not as powerful as the fire tree spells in terms of damage, these spells can slow down targets causing them to not move as fast. The final tree of mage spells is the arcane tree. Many of the arcane tree spells help boost the effectiveness of the other spell trees.

The fire tree of spells is what most of the good WoW Mage Leveling specs focus on. Damage per second is better for fire spells than it is for arcane and frost spells. Higher damage per second normally means enemies are dying fast. The chances of taking damage are greatly reduced when enemies die fast. Taking less damage is always a good thing and leads to less down time between battles. Being a death dealing machine helps improve survival.

Spells from the frost tree are good for surivial, but do not do nearly as much damage as the fire spells. You never have to worry about a dead enemy dealing any more damage. Quickly dispatching an enemy leads to faster leveling for a mage in World of Warcraft.

A good WoW Mage Leveling Spec will have additional powers that help improve upon the attack spells of the mage. Alone, spells such as Impact and Ignite are not real impressive, but when combined with Blast Wave or Flamestrike, they add the ability to hit multiple targets and/or put a status effect on enemies.Flame Throwing is another good example as it allows the mage to attack from further away and do more damage before targets get into melee range.
